4. Installation

The Smart Tools are include in Ubuntu (I know they are in 6.06 and on up.)  This package is also in Debian unstable, not sure what other releases of Debian it is in ?

sudo apt-get install smartmontools

The tools are also in Knoppix boot disks.


This will install the smartctrl and
